Adobe Edit Links for Browser

MS Word is the standard tool to create the various instructions for installing AFT software, licenses and related user’s guide documents. While links in the Word document will open a web page in the users default browser or initiate a file download, the default action of the links in an Adobe pdf document created from the Word document is to create a pdf document appended to the original pdf document.

To have links in the pdf document open the reference web page in a browser, as desired, it is necessary to edit the link in Adobe by; 1) deleting the default action and, 2) adding a Javascript.

Discussion See AdobeWebBrowser.doc for the steps to follow to edit the pdf document link.
